日本最大級のホテルチェーンを展開するアパホテル株式会社（本社：東京都港区赤坂3-2-3 取締役社長：元谷 芙美子）は、子会社であるAPA Hotel USA, Inc.（米国・デラウェア州）を通じて、現地時間7月7日（日本時間7月8日）に、米国 カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルス ウエストハリウッド所在の「Kimpton La Peer」を取得した。
当ホテルは、メルローズ・アベニューとサンタモニカ・ブルバードの交差点から至近にあり、最新トレンドの発信地であるウエストハリウッドの中心で特別な存在感を放っている。アート、建築、ファッションが魅力的に融合するこの街の雰囲気が、デザイン重視の刺激的なホテル全体の至る所に反映されており、グラミー賞、アカデミー賞受賞者及び関係者の定宿としても有名である。
また、105室のラグジュアリーな客室に加え、東地中海料理レストラン「Ladyhawk」、プールサイド・ラウンジ、ピックルボール・コートを備えたルーフトップのイベントスペース、そして740平方メートルを超える屋内・屋外のダイニング＆ラウンジスペースを完備している。
本物件の運営は、引き続き従来のオペレーターであるIHG HOTELS & RESORTSに委託するとともに、さらなるサービスクオリティの向上を目指し、施設名称を「Kimpton La Peer West Hollywood」へ変更する。また、同社とは、日本における同社ブランドホテルの協働開発も視野に入れている。本件は、2026年4月に始動した新中期5ヶ年計画「AIM5-Ⅱ」で骨子として掲げた北米における積極的な事業展開の第一歩として位置付けられ、今後も既存「コースト」ブランドの拡大を図りつつ、他のメジャーブランドとの協働を含めた多面的な展開を加速度的に推進する。

APA Group Acquires Luxury Landmark in Los Angeles ‘Kimpton La Peer West Hollywood’

TOKYO, JAPAN & LOS ANGELES, CA – July 10, 2026 – APA Hotel Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Fumiko Motoya), Japan’s largest hotel group, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of ‘Kimpton La Peer’ in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The transaction was executed on July 7, 2026 (Local Time) through its fully owned subsidiary, APA Hotel USA, Inc. (Delaware, USA).
Situated in the vibrant heart of West Hollywood, just steps from the iconic intersection of Melrose Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard, Kimpton La Peer commands a distinctive presence in a premier destination for global trends. Embracing the city’s dynamic fusion of art, architecture, and fashion, the design-centric property is widely recognized as a favored sanctuary for Grammy and Academy Award winners, as well as high-profile entertainment industry executives.
The property features 105 luxury guest rooms and a collection of world-class amenities. Key highlights include ‘Ladyhawk,’ an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant; a sophisticated poolside lounge; a rooftop event space complete with a pickleball court; and over 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining and lounge spaces.
Operations continue to be entrusted to the existing operator, IHG Hotels & Resorts (“IHG”) and the property will be renamed ‘Kimpton La Peer West Hollywood’ to enhance its service quality. Looking ahead, APA Hotel envisions exploring potential collaborations with IHG for the joint development and expansion of the Kimpton hotels in Japan.
This acquisition represents a monumental milestone for APA Hotel, serving as the first major initiative under its newly launched five-year mid-term business plan, ‘AIM5-II’ (commenced April 2026). While continuing to expand its ‘Coast Hotels’ brand, APA Group will accelerate its multifaceted growth strategy in North America through proactive property acquisitions and by exploring potential strategic alliances with other major global hospitality brands.
