1. Kyoto Japanese Painting Artist Visit

Request:
The couple was building a new residence and wished to furnish it with authentic Japanese art and craftsmanship.
Experience:
COBI arranged a private visit to the studio of a Kyoto-based Nihonga artist. Guests learned directly from the artist about traditional pigments and gold leaf techniques while viewing the works. The couple ultimately commissioned a custom-made artwork, with COBI supporting communication with the artist and coordinating international shipping.
2. Osaka Swordsmith Workshop Visit
Family residing in the United Arab Emirates
Request:
The family had a strong interest in Japanese sword culture and wished to visit an authentic multigenerational swordsmith workshop that was not open to conventional tourism.
Experience:
COBI arranged access to one of Japan’s rare active hereditary swordsmith workshops. In addition to observing the forging process, guests gained a deeper understanding of the aesthetics and spiritual philosophy embedded in Japanese swords. The experience further enhanced their appreciation of Japanese culture, and the family purchased several traditional Japanese knives.
3. Kyoto Multi-Workshop Craft Journey
European family

The family wished to experience Japan’s finest craftsmanship and acquire exceptional works of art.
Experience:
Guests visited several workshops in Kyoto, including a Nishijin textile workshop with over 300 years of history, a fifteenth-generation ceramic artist, and a master calligrapher. Across these visits, the family purchased works valued at over JPY 1 million.
